The Fresno Regional Occupational Program (ROP) is career technical education that empowers students to make meaningful career choices by providing opportunities to explore their interests, develop career skills, and reinforce academics.”

Organization

Fresno ROP is a county-operated ROP. The Fresno County Board of Education is the legal governing board. Beginning in September, Fresno ROP's Advisory Board of Management to the County Board of Education meets five times a year. Membership is made up of school administrators, district and county board members, and people from the community at large. Fresno ROP was established in 1974 with six school districts. Today, Fresno ROP serves 22 districts throughout Fresno, Madera, and Mariposa counties. Over 148 career-preparation courses are offered for youth 16 years of age through adults.
